Since the industrial revolution, the burning of fossil fuels has dramatically increased the rate of global warming and intensified natural disasters. Humanity since then has done little to combat it and even has further added to the problem. For example, the droughts in California, air pollution in China, and stronger hurricanes around the world are directly correlated to the human carbon footprint.
